Results for July 09
Just going to post this on DC. Needed somewhere to store the image so why not make a post out of it like I used to when I was winning nice amounts each month.

FTChallenge Day 1
Day one went ok bankroll-wise. I accrued about $2.20 rakeback.
The goal of $50 by month end may be a little ambitious but early days yet.
Here are some non-results-oriented stats:

Here's one of the C-game hands from an early session in the day. Villain was very loose and I have a habit of equating looseness to high bluff frequency. This guy didn't need to bluff because I kept getting paying him off!
Villian's stats are 79/21/1 WTSD 40% W$SD 45% after 117 hands

This doesn't look like a flop where you're going to fold out better hands or get hands worse than 77 to call. My thought process at the time was "if I had an Ace here, I'd continuation bet. The fact that there are two aces on board makes it less likely my opponents have an Ace so I'll continuation bet and hope to take the hand down here".
Thing is, how valid is this thought process against 3 opponents?
Even if the continuation bet was okay, with no draws beyond gutshots and backdraws on this scary board, the raiser (without a very good read otherwise) is most likely holding Ace, Ten or a strong pocket pair so I probably should have folded to the raise.
Villain's play was completely consistent with his hand but in the heat of the moment, I didn't even think before hitting the "call" button and going into call down mode.

Results for April 2009
Results for april are in!

I'd hidden some sessions from the main database because they were soooo bad but earlier this week a results-oriented discussion at DeucesCracked helped me to open up and confess my sins. I've come to terms with the loss now and included it here.
Thanks to a good run at Everest I'm still up for the month with a respectable (?) BB per 100.
I've enjoyed this foray into 6-max. I was troubled by the loses from both the blind positions since I didn't remember this happening at FullRing but having now reviewed full ring results separately, it looks losing money from the blinds is common to both formats.
So far my BB/100 for $.25/$.50 6-max is almost exactly half my BB/100 for $.25/$.50 full ring over the same number of hands. I've had some horrendous tilted 6-max sessions though so I think the BB/100 could be closer with better play.

Results in for January

I'm pleased to announce that I completed January in the black thanks to Everest. I've also reached the point where I can just about 4-table a mix of $.10/$.20 and $.25/$.50 tables and break even.
I'm pretty astonished really. Can't say its been easy and I'm left wondering just how much of it is attributable to being on the right side of variance. I suppose we'll find out over the months to come!
The total "earn" isn't a life changing amount but the 4000 hands I played this month have certainly strengthened my resolve to continue learning and playing poker.
I'm well on the way to the Everest points total required to release the bonus. More on that in the next post.
This month was my baptism to multi-tabling. I can play 3 tables reasonably comfortably at $.25/$.50 (at least on Everest) and have taken the total up to 4 once (maximum record MT ratio for that session was 3.34).
My results at $.25/$.50 seem pretty consistent. Played and won against a number of the regulars though admittedly the sample size is very small (max hands against any one player = 60). I 've also been burnt a number of times trying to play back at maniacs.
